Fighting In Front Of The Carter House

Former Director of the Carter house museum, Thomas Cartwright, details the action and fighting around the Carter house on the evening of the battle of Franklin, during its fiercest hand-to-hand fighting. Warning. It does involve graphic battle detail.
Indeed, Cartwright gives a good (and humourous) account of the battle's events that will have you enthralled. He clearly knows and is passionate about his subject and communicates well all the gory details.
Around 9,000 people died in 5 hours of fighting at the battleoOf Franklin.
